Privacy policy

This site is static: no accounts, no comments, no newsletter, no advertising. It sets no cookies, and nothing on it identifies you — which is why there is no consent banner to click away.

Server logs and settings

Hosted by ALL-INKL.COM – Neue Medien Münnich, Hauptstraße 68, 02742 Friedersdorf, on German servers, under an Art. 28 agreement. Each request logs your IP address, time, file, status, referrer and browser — needed to deliver the site and trace faults (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). Deleted after 90 days.

The only thing kept on your device is your choice of colour theme, stored in your browser’s local storage. It never leaves your device and needs no consent (§ 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG). Clearing your browser storage removes it.

The site search runs entirely in your browser. The index is downloaded once; your search terms are never transmitted anywhere.

Web analytics

This site uses Simple Analytics B.V., Amsterdam, Netherlands, for anonymous website statistics, under an Art. 28 agreement. Simple Analytics does not use cookies or persistent identifiers and does not collect personal data. Analytics data are processed within the EU, on servers in the Netherlands.

What is recorded per page view: the page address (without query strings), the referring page, the country derived from your time zone, a shortened browser and device description, screen size and language. IP addresses are neither stored nor used; there is no fingerprinting and no recognition across sites or visits. Legal basis: my legitimate interest in knowing which pages are read (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). Because nothing here is tied to a person, § 25 TDDDG does not apply and no consent is required.

Citation counts on the publications page

The citation figures, yearly counts and field-weighted impact values come from OpenAlex, an open scholarly catalogue, and are built into the page beforehand. Opening the page therefore contacts no third party and sends nothing about you anywhere; the figures are refreshed from time to time and carry the date of their retrieval.

Your rights

The only personal data here are the server logs. For them you have the rights under Art. 15–21 GDPR — access, rectification, erasure, restriction and objection — while the logs exist, that is within 90 days; a request needs the time and IP address in question. The analytics hold nothing that could be traced back to you, so there is nothing in them to ask about (Art. 11 (2)).
